
Dinanath Bhandari
Dinanath Bhandari earned his Master of Science in Forestry from the Institute of Forestry of Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He has worked for 7 years in Nepal’s agroforestry, community forestry, leasehold forestry, joint forest management, and buffer zone conservation and management. Since 2006, he has been involved in developing a community-centered flood early warning system in Nepal. He engages the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) and the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) in piloting Impact-Based Forecasting (IBF) to advance EWS in Nepal. Currently, he is associated with Oxford Policy Management Ltd.’s Nepal Office as Disaster Resilience Lead and supporting DRRM governance through research and development of resource materials for policy inputs.
