Professor Dr. Shiraz Wajih

Associate Professor of ecology at Gorakhpur University, Dr. Shiraz Wajih is engaged in policy, research, training, and implementation on natural resource management, climate change resilience, community institutions, and sustainable livelihoods. He has directed programmes related to water management, sustainable agriculture, eco-health, and disaster risk reduction. With more than 80 published and presented in various national and international journals and forums, he is a recipient of Global 500 (UNEP) and Momentum for Change (UNFCCC) awards. Dr. Wajih has served on various committees of government and represented on boards of national and international agencies like IUCN Education Commission, IYF, Oxfam, ISET, South-South Solidarity, State Wildlife Boar. geag@geagindia.org
