Ajaya Dixit

Ajaya Dixit is Research Adviser, ISET-Nepal, Senior Fellow, Niti Foundation, and Visiting Professor in water resource and climate change at Kathmandu School of Law. His areas of interest are climate change adaptation and resilience, floods, droughts and disaster studies, political-economic analysis, and policy and institutional studies. His work has also focused on rural development and support to develop community-based drinking water schemes and improve hygiene practices and sanitation. In the mid-1980s, he started experimenting with building, and later promoting, rainwater harvesting systems in Nepal. He has been supporting the capacity-building and mentoring of the young generation of professionals.
